One the opening day of school, Peck Place unveiled a series of beautiful murals designed to bring to life the character education program, C.A.R.I.N.G., which began in 2012. The words that make up the acronym – Courteous, Achieving, Responsible, Interested, Neighborly, and Growing - help reinforce the underlying message of the importance of good citizenship and community that Peck embodies. The murals were the vision of Peck’s art teacher, Matt Stevens, who worked with sixth grade students to illustrate the core concepts of this character education program.
