The Orange Police welcomed a new officer to the Department today.
With Chief Robert Gagne standing by, Commissioner Don Lewis administered the oath of office to James Kline, a retired veteran Ct State Trooper and Milford resident.
According to Gagne, Kline comes to the department with a lot of experience and an impeccable record.
The Chief told Orange Live, “He is a decorated former state police sergeant who was assigned to investigation units.”
Gagne said, “We are thrilled to have someone of his caliber here, and we know he is going to enjoy his career here in Orange. We look forward to getting him out on the road.”
As a new Orange police officer, even with all of his prior experience, Kline will be required to spend time with a Field Training Officer (FTO) learning the lay of the land and Orange police protocols before going on patrol by himself.
