Meet The New Orange Assistant Police Chief: Anthony Cuozzo » Orange Live

Sep 182012

Anthony Cuozzo Sr. in his role as the Commander of the Police Honor Guard.

It’s been nearly a month since former Asst. Police Chief Edward Koether retired from the department.

Today, after many long hours of consideration over the past few weeks, including in-depth interviews, the Orange Police Commission made its decision during a nearly two hour-long executive session this afternoon.

Chief Robert Gagne called all five applicants to break the news and then announced it to us.

Lt. Anthony Cuozzo has been named the new Asst. Police Chief.

Residents know Cuozzo as friendly and personable, yet fiercely professional when the occasion calls for it.

He was the DARE officer for many years and endeared himself to hundreds of school children throughout the town.

Cuozzo is a graduate of the FBI Academy and is highly qualified for this position.

Tony lives in Orange with his wife Antoinetta and three children, Anthony Jr, Sarina and Sophia.

We wish him luck in the future and look forward to working with him in this capacity.
