Drunken Driving Arrests
An East Granby man was stopped on Route 34, Westbound, Sept. 15 at 3 a.m. after patrol officers reportedly saw him driving erratically.
Police administered roadside sobriety tests on Michael Kokas, 24, of 21 High Farm Road, after which he was taken into custody and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs (DUI) and failure to maintain a driving lane.
Kokas was released after posting $50 bond for court Sept. 28.
Officers responded to the scene of a two-car accident on Route 34 Eastbound at the intersection of Grassy HIll Road Sept. 16 at 1:37 a.m.
Officers had Joseph Pacelli, 24, of 74 Pauline Ave., West Haven, perform standardized roadside sobriety tests. He was subsequently charged with DUI and following too closely.
Pacelli was released on $50 bond for court Oct. 1.
Patrol officers reportedly observed a vehicle driving erratically on Route One Westbound Sept. 16 at 4:05 a.m.
Officers stopped the car and had the driver, Luis Muniz, 22, of 406 Popland St., New Haven, perform standardized roadside sobriety tests.
Muniz was taken into custody and charged with DUI and failure to maintain a driving lane.
He was released after posting $50 bond for court Oct. 1.
