Every year for the past decade or so, the town of Orange has invited the public to join in honoring men and women who have suffered with breast cancer. Survivors have an opportunity to speak and those who have lost their battle are remembered.
The ceremony takes place on the front steps of the Town Hall, 617 Orange Center Road, on Thursday, Oct. 18 at 1 p.m.
Michelle Stratford, of Orange is this year’s honoree. As in past years, town employees will hang a pink ribbon wreath (created by Anita Pol) on the front door of the Orange Town Hall. Anyone wishing to do so may take a pink ribbon from the wreath to honor those who have survived as well as those who have succumbed to breast cancer.
Pink ribbon cards will be sold and hung in Town Hall to benefit Susan G. Komen Connecticut. Please make a $5 monetary contribution and dedicate your donation to those who have survived breast cancer and those who have not
