There is a festively covered cardboard box in the hallway outside the First Selectman’s office that is sadly quite empty right now.
The American Legion Post 127 is hoping residents will fill the box with winter hats, gloves and scarves to help keep our neighbors in need warm this winter.
Even in this economy, many of us can afford to go to the store and buy a hat, gloves or a scarf if we need them, but there are still some Orange residents who struggle with the little things.
The Legion will distribute the donated items to those in need so everyone will be a bit warmer in the cold winter months.
All you have to do is bring the items to the Town Hall and place them in the special box.
