On Sept. 9, we published a story entitled “Amity Youth Football preparing boys to become Spartans since 1987″. If you appreciate Football and good sportsmanship, teens playing ball for the love of the game, you now have an opportunity to support this great organization.
Coach Butler from the Amity Youth Football, is participating in a fundraising event at Amity Wine & Spirit, Co, Amity Wine and Spirit, Co at 95 Amity Road, New Haven, just past the Woodbridge town line today at 1 p.m.
The event called “Amity Wines / Cheese Truck Challenge” is a charity event where staff will attempt to eat ten (10) grilled cheese sandwiches in an hour. Money raised goes to charity, but anyone completing the Cheese Truck Challenge will be able to name their own custom grilled cheese sandwich.
The fundraiser supports Amity Youth Football. Coach Kevin Neal originally was slated to participate, but was injured in an accident last weekend, so in the true spirit of what they teach their football players, Coach Butler is stepping in to take his place.
