DUI Warrant Arrest

On Oct. 20, at 10:25 a.m., a 34-year-old Ansonia man surrendered himself at police headquarters on a warrant stemming from a single car traffic accident that occurred on May 6.

According to the report, Eduardo Chabla, of 119 Bank St., was driving on Route 34 when he left the roadway and struck a guardrail. He then reportedly told officers at the scene that he was a passenger in the vehicle, and not the driver.

Investigation led to the issuance of a warrant charging DUI, failure to drive in a proper lane and interfering with a police investigation.

Chabla was released after posting $50 bond for court Nov. 5.
