Troop 1 Eagle Scouts, John Lawless, Mark Bluemer, Dan Murray, Jacob Wilczek, and Christian Lofthouse.
Jacob Wilczek, of Orange recently completed all requirements to obtain the rank of Eagle Scout.
A local Boy Scout Troop had the privilege of seeing five of its senior scouts successfully complete the requirements for the rank of Eagle Scout at a combined Board of Review ceremony. Jacob Wilczek, an Orange resident, was one of the five highly motivated scouts from Milford Boy Scout Troop 1 who all achieved this rare scouting milestone simultaneously at the Connecticut Yankee Council headquarters in Milford on Oct. 24.
John Lawless, Dan Murray, Christian Lofthouse, and Mark Bluemer, residents of Milford, made up the rest of the five newly-minted Eagle Scouts.
Yankee Council officials said they were very impressed with the leadership and hard work shown by Jacob and the other four young men and could not remember the last time so many members from one scouting unit successfully completed the difficult requirements at the same time.
Troop 1 will have a combined, celebratory Eagle Scout Court of Honor in the near future, but the time, date, and location has yet to be determined.
