Messy weather on the way for the PM commute on Monday. It will begin as Snow but will turn over to a mix of freezing rain and sleet before it is all said and done.
Timing for this storm is horrible. Beginning in SW CT around 12-2 PM and quickly moving eastward to cover the whole state. Upwards to an inch of snow may fall on towns in CT.
As warmer air aloft moves into the State, a changeover to sleet and freezing rain will occur for the PM commute. This switch over will occur around 5 PM Western CT and 7 PM Eastern. 1/4 of an inch of ice is forecasted to fall.
This will make driving very tricky, so please give yourself a few extra minutes tomorrow afternoon.
This storm will tapper off by 11 PM-1 AM Monday Night.
