There was a fight at Amity high school this afternoon.
The incident involved five male students in the hallway during passing time.
According to Principal Charles Britton, two male students originally began the fight over a girl. The dispute carried over from behavior this weekend at a non-school sanctioned gathering.
During the altercation, friends of each of the boys stepped into the fray.
Teachers and security personnel quickly ended the fight, which was captured in its entirety on the school surveillance system.
The Amity School Resource Officer is involved. At this time, none of the injuries from the fight appear serious.
School-based disciplinary action will be administered, followed by appropriate intervention on behalf of school counselors.
