The Amity Regional School District #5 Board of Education has reopened the search for a new superintendent as Dr. John Brady will be retiring this June after several years of exemplary leadership.
Dr. Jacoby, CABE Consultant, assisting with the facilitation of the search, was asked to review and build on the feedback provided last spring from school staff, parents, students and community members who shared their thinking about the attributes, skills and professional experiences they desired in a superintendent.
We would like to give those who were unable to participate previously or those who want the opportunity to speak again about this all important responsibility, to attend a focus group hosted by the Amity Regional High School PTSA and scheduled for Thursday, February 28, at 7 p.m. in the High School Library/Media Center. This will be first item on the agenda for their regular monthly meeting.
Feedback from last spring, as well as all information learned at this focus group and school focus groups will be used to inform the search process.
