Every year, approximately 30,000 people are shot to death in America. (2/3 of these tragedies are suicides.) The recent massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School has focused our nation’s attention to this problem like never before.
Our Orange Interfaith Clergy Fellowship, to which I belong, invite you to a Conversation on the Problem of Violence in our Culture.
It will take place on Monday, February 25th from 7-9 pm at St. Barbara’s Orthodox Church, 480 Racebrook Road in Orange.
This opportunity for community dialogue is open to all. The event will be moderated by the Rev. Ann Ritonia, of the Church of the Good
Shepherd, and prayers and perspectives will be offered by members of the Orange Clergy Fellowship including myself.
An age appropriate movie and childcare will be available for children 12 and younger.
Older teens are welcome to participate in this dialogue.
