The best thing to come out of it is the overwhelming support of the community and one New Yorker who called Kennedy earlier in the day and said he would rent a car and drive to CT to support the play. Howard Sherman who is well known in the NY Theater community (and an Amity Alumnus) reportedly spoke eloquently.
The New York Times Tweeted the story out and it was retweeted by many others who, among other things, called the protest “silly” and “utter nonsense.”
The show will go on, and it will be magnificent!
