Dental Smiles, opened at 109 Boston Post Road next to Medi Weight Loss (down the mini mall strip from Munson’s Chocolates) on Feb. 1 and the dentist and staff will be celebrating their grand opening on Saturday, Feb. 23 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
You’ll be greeted by Julie, the receptionist, Lea, the dental assistant, Dr. Irshad Mohammed and his wife, Pallavi, the office coordinator. A hygienist will be coming soon.
The Grand Opening Celebration includes, cupcakes, cookies — and a goodie bag with toothbrush and toothpaste to use when you get home. Also, during your visit book an appointment to take advantage of one of the coupon specials and receive a raffle ticket to win an iPad Mini. (The contest runs from Feb. 23 thru March 2 – winner will be selected at random and announced on the office’s website April 4.
If you don’t have insurance, the Adult exam, x-rays and cleaning for $79; or children’s exam, x-rays and cleaning for $59 may be a very attractive deal.
Another introductory special Dental Smiles is offering is a free whitening after a full price exam, x-rays and cleaning.
Dr. Mohammed has been practicing for 6 years in Hamden and Fairfield. He and his wife often came to Orange to shop on the Boston Post Road and fell in love with the town.
For six months they searched for a place in Orange in which to open an office, when they found this plaza, they knew it was perfect.
The walls of the new office are painted calming colors and believe it or not, the office is environmentally friendly and completely paperless.
Dr. Mohammed’s office offers family and cosmetic dentistry, teeth whitening, invisiline clear braces, root canals and other surgical procedures, implants and veneers.
He uses digital x-rays.
Dental Smiles accepts most PPO Insurance Plans.
The office is open Monday – Tuesday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Wednesday – Thursday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; closed on Sunday.

Dr. and Mrs. Mohammed live in Southbury with their two children, ages 12 and 6. All are avid Giants fans.
