Material Girls easy to find.

Material Girls Boutique, 463 Boston Post Road (Same building as Kaoud Rugs on left side of building) will be open today after being closed for a while because of the dangerous travel associated with the blizzard.

Kristina Kaoud said she plans to have late hours on Wednesday, until 8 p.m. for all those last minute guys who suddenly realized that Thursday is Valentine’s Day.

Women, teens and girls who come into Material Girls love the selection and most likely come back again soon.

If you are unsure of what item to get for your Valentine, you can pick up a Material Girls gift certificate and chocolates to win her heart.

The store will gift wrap whatever you purchase.

Bigger, Brighter, Better... Material Girls!

Material Girls Boutique, 463 Boston Post Road, opened in November 2010 and has gained quite a following in the community since.

Owner Kristina Kaoud is known for her generosity and the many charity events she hosts in the store, offering pleasant “Girls Night Out” events with wine and cheese and discounts.

Last Year, after the dust settled when a Shelton High School student was penalized for his creative approach to asking a girl to accompany him to the prom, Kristina reached out and offered his date jewelry to wear on their special night.

If you shopped at the store since the beginning you may have noticed that the layout was not ideal for everyone, there was a pesky step that some might trip over and it made setting up displays a little difficult.

In March of this year Kristina completely renovated the interior of the store, making it roomier and much easier to navigate. The check-out counter is conveniently located in a different spot with a nice large gift wrapping area in the back.

The inventory includes items for children, tweens, teens, grads, brides, grammas, and everyone in between.

Always on top of the newest trends, if you’re looking for the latest thing, Material Girls is the place to go.

There are plenty of mirrors on the walls so you can see how wonderful the jewelry pieces look on you.

If you haven’t shopped at Material Girls in a while this is a great time to come by. Check out their Facebook page for all the latest news and special events (and make sure to “Like” it!). See the video of our visit here.
